Device safety check and technology-facilitated abuse support, Sydney
If you think your digital privacy has been compromised, or technology is being used to monitor or control you, you are not alone. We provide confidential, discreet checks of phones, computers and online accounts for spyware, stalkerware and hidden tracking, for people across Sydney.
Important safety information
If you are in immediate danger, call 000.
For 24/7 confidential support, counselling and referrals, contact 1800RESPECT on 1800 737 738.
Someone monitoring your device may be able to see that you visited this page. If that is a concern, consider using a device they do not have access to (a public library computer, a workplace machine, or a trusted friend’s phone) to read this and to contact us.
Warning signs
Signs a device may need checking
Monitoring tools are built to stay hidden, but they usually leave traces. You do not need to be certain something is wrong to ask. If you are worried, that is reason enough.
- Battery draining unusually fast, or the device running hot when you are not using it
- Apps on your phone or computer that you did not install
- Passwords that suddenly stop working, or accounts you can no longer get into
- Login notifications from places or devices you do not recognise
- The screen lighting up on its own, or odd background noise during calls
- Someone knowing your location, schedule or conversations when you have not told them
Scope
What we check
A check covers the places monitoring actually hides: the devices, the accounts behind them, and the network they sit on. More detail on a phone spyware check or a computer spyware check.
Phones and tablets
Deep checks on iOS and Android for hidden monitoring apps, tracking software and covert location sharing, including apps recording the screen, calls or messages.
Laptops and computers
Inspection of PCs and Macs for keyloggers, remote access tools, malware and monitoring software capturing keystrokes, email or browsing history.
Email and online accounts
An audit of email, social media and banking accounts for unauthorised access (active sessions, forwarding rules, recovery addresses), then help setting up strong passwords and two-factor authentication.
Home network and Wi-Fi
A look at your router and Wi-Fi for devices connected that should not be, and securing the network settings so browsing stays private.
Smart home devices
Review of smart speakers, cameras and other connected appliances that can be repurposed for monitoring, plus a visual inspection of common hiding places. See the limits below.
Trackers and cloud accounts
Checks for GPS trackers on vehicles or belongings, and an audit of iCloud, Google and similar accounts to make sure photos, files and live location are not syncing to someone else.

Findings explained
A clear account of what was found and what it means, without alarming language or jargon.
Securing things
Immediate measures (changing passwords, closing sessions, locking down accounts), done with you and at your pace.
Follow-up support
Continued guidance so you stay protected as your situation changes.

Confidentiality
Privacy and confidentiality
Asking for a check takes trust, and we treat that seriously. From first contact your information is handled with care.
- We do not tell anyone you contacted us, not family and not third parties
- We do not keep copies of your personal data, photos or messages from a scan
- We can use discreet contact methods and meet somewhere neutral if that is safer
- Nothing about the service is judgmental, and nothing is rushed
What this service does not do
We work strictly within Australian law, and the focus is defensive and protective. Being clear about the limits matters as much as listing what we can do.
- We do not “hack back”, conduct surveillance, or take retaliatory action against anyone.
- We do not monitor another person on your behalf, under any circumstances.
- We do not perform professional bug sweeping. For hidden cameras and listening devices we offer visual inspection and general guidance only. If you need a technical sweep, we will say so and point you elsewhere.
- We are not a legal service or a counselling service. For support and referrals, 1800RESPECT (1800 737 738) is staffed 24/7.
For business security work see cyber security services, or for general computer problems see IT support.
Common questions
Can you detect spyware on my phone?
In most cases, yes. We check for suspicious applications, hidden monitoring software and configuration changes that would let someone see your location, messages or calls. No check can promise to find every possible tool, and we will tell you plainly what we could and could not rule out.
Can you find hidden cameras in my home?
Only to a limited degree. We do a visual inspection of common placements and give you general guidance, and we check smart home devices that could be used for monitoring. We do not do professional radio-frequency bug sweeping. Our focus is your devices, accounts and network.
Is this completely confidential?
Yes. We do not share your information, our findings, or the fact that you contacted us with anyone without your consent. The one limit is the law: if we were legally compelled to disclose something, we would have to, and we would tell you.
What if I am not sure anything is wrong?
That is the most common reason people get in touch. You do not need proof or a specific suspicion. A check either finds something, or gives you the reassurance that your devices are clean. Both are useful answers.
Where do we meet?
Wherever you feel safe. We work across Western Sydney and Greater Sydney and can meet at a neutral location of your choosing. Some account security checks can be done through a secure remote consultation instead.
